Grant-making charity Project Giving Back (PGB) has announced seven of its final collection of gardens for good causes at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026. The remaining four gardens, all in the All About Plants category, will be announced in January 2026. From 2022 to 2026 PGB will have sponsored a total of 63 gardens for different charitable causes, all of which will be relocated or repurposed at sites around the UK. PGB Trustee Mark Fane, says:
“When we first discussed how the generous donation made by PGB’s founders could be used to reinvigorate RHS Chelsea show garden sponsorship, and positively impact the UK charity sector, we couldn’t have possibly imagined how significant the initiative would be. We’ve been fortunate to attract back to RHS Chelsea some of the leading names in garden and landscape design, and work with some of the UK's most significant charities. PGB’s lasting legacy will be the network of over 60 gardens permanently relocated in all four nations of the UK that continue to support the charities that inspired them and provide gardening opportunities for communities of people from all walks of life.”
In 2026, PGB is funding the first RHS Chelsea garden to be relocated to Northern Ireland - The Trussell Together Garden - ensuring that gardens for good causes will live on in each of the four UK nations for many years to come. And for the first time, PGB is match-funding some gardens, with additional sponsorship having been arranged by The Children’s Society, The Eden Project and Tate Britain.
The show gardens announced by the RHS this week and supported by Project Giving Back in 2026 are:
Hattie Ghaui, CEO of Project Giving Back, says:
“The calibre and breadth of our final cohort of designers and good causes shows the value of the opportunity that RHS Chelsea offers. We are all looking forward to seeing the gardens develop and working with the teams to ensure everyone gets the most out of the experience. One thing I am particularly excited to see is how many other sponsors beyond PGB are working with good causes this year. Gardens provide a wonderful platform for storytelling, and now, more than ever, we need stories of hope, beauty and the power of community.”
