In the BBC centenary year, its flagship children’s programme, Blue Peter will be getting a new garden. The New Blue Peter Garden invites everyone to discover soil and the vital role it plays in our ecosystems. The key message of the garden is "Don’t treat soil like dirt! It’s complex and alive - we couldn’t survive without it."
Taking you down, beneath the ground to see its subterranean workings and bringing soil up to eye level where you can see, touch, smell - and even hear compost - this brightly planted, multi-layered garden will open both children and adults to the role soil plays in supporting life and how it can be preserved and used in our fight to reverse climate change.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
The New Blue Peter Soil Garden's permanent home will be at RHS Bridgewater where it can be accessed by everyone and entered freely by all Blue Peter badge-holders.
